Meet the redesigned 2020 Range Rover Evoque

The Range Rover Evoque first arrived on the scene in 2013, and the 2020 model year ushers in the second generation! We're very excited for the new changes on the 2020 Range Rover Evoque that you'll find at our Seaside CA dealership, and some of the highlights include enhanced performance, upgraded technology, and new interior and exterior styles that'll have you feeling very luxe on your Salinas CA commutes.

Performance

For the 2019 model year, the Range Rover Evoque had a 2.0L turbocharged engine with 237 horsepower and 251 lb-ft torque. Those specs increase for the 2020 Range Rover Evoque and equal out to 246 horsepower and 269 lb-ft torque. There's also a new Mild Hybrid 2.0L turbo engine. Unlike your typical hybrid that shoppers gravitate to for better fuel economy, mild-hybrid technology gives you more power! If you choose a trim with that engine, you'll be able to zip around Monterey with the help of 296 horsepower and 295 lb-ft torque.

Another change engineers made was updating the Premium Transverse Architecture so that it provides drivers with quieter, more responsive, and smoother handling as they make their way around Watsonville and beyond.

Technology

Instead of a standard 8-inch touchscreen, Range Rover Evoque owners and lessees are greeted to a larger 10-inch touchscreen. There's also a new ClearSight Ground View camera, which is a segment-first technology. The available camera shows drivers what's under the front of the vehicle. Naturally, this is great feature for those who might be off-roading in the Range Rover Evoque. And even if you plan on sticking to the paved Prunedale streets, you can still use ClearSight to watch out for potholes, broken glass, or anything the kids leave out in the driveway.

Style

The previous Range Rover Evoque was on the blockier side, and the newer one is more streamlined and comes with the handles that are flush to the door. Instead of the style that used to be SUV or convertible, there's now three distinct looks: Evoque (standard), R-Dynamic, and First Edition. Now the Range Rover Evoque really looks like it's part of the Range Rover segment of the Land Rover lineup.
